NUFC Transfers – Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before

I know some people think we are a bit thick up here but the past week seems to have the media really taking us for fools.

They might want to believe that when asked the average Newcastle fan would guess ‘Deja Vu’ was a new bar opening in the Toon but the rubbish they’ve come out with takes some believing.

Since the transfer window shut a week ago, I’ve seen us linked with Douglas, Mathieu Debuchy, Tom Ince and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa – with claims that Newcastle will be signing them in the January window.

They must think we are really mental, why would you have any faith in stories like those when NUFC have had every opportunity to sign these players over the last four months.

Free football (worth £10) when you buy any short-sleeved NUFC shirt  – ends noon Monday 8th

So if Blackpool are top at Christmas they are going to happily sell their best player, or if Montpelier are going for successive League titles and still in the Champions League would be selling their captain???

You might be able to fool some of the people some of the time….

I know we all thrive on transfer gossip but if this is the best the media can do when nobody can be signed for another four months, it’s a pretty sad state of affairs.

The least they could do should be to make up some different players Newcastle are chasing…..very slowly apparently.
