Newcastle Leading The Way In Europe

Interesting to see what Newcastle United were going to charge for the matches in our European adventure.

While the last twenty years has seen English football ticket prices go through the roof, generally the price of tickets under Mike Ashley has been more than fair.

Along with many other Newcastle fans over the years, when it came to cup tickets it seemed a no-brainer to pile them high and sell them cheap…a concept all too familiar for Mike Ashley.

Great to see that following on from the qualifier against Atromitos, Newcastle have kept the price of tickets against Maritimo, Club Brugge and Bordeaux at the same level – £15 for adults and £5 concessions (extra fiver to go in the ‘Bar’ areas).

Looking at other English clubs, Liverpool have kept it relatively sensible with prices ranging from £17 to £30 for adults.

However, Spurs are charging from £32 to £47 for their Europa Cup match against Lazio.

Must be London weighting…
