Yohan Cabaye has completed a successful few days away from Tyneside.

Tonight he played his part in the 3-1 win over Belarus in Paris to make it two wins out of two for France in the world cup qualifiers, on Friday France had taken three points off Finland in their away match,

Cabaye started and played until substituted in the 75th minute when France were winding the game down.

For our own selfish reasons I think this international break could have been just what the French playmaker needed in terms of helping him to get match fit for the proper football with Newcastle United.

With other players such as Krul and Coloccini, amongst others, dropping all around him, we desperately need Cabaye back to his very best starting with the trip to Goodison next Monday night.
