Alan Pardew’s Man Management Does The Trick Again

11 years ago

Nobody would have been more disappointed than Alan Pardew, when Newcastle failed to go in two up at half-time against Norwich.

In this excellent interview, the manager talks at length about various factors involving Sunday’s match and ‘praises’ the, “Spriit of the group as shown by the players trying to give Papiss a goal”.

However, the reality of the situation was that he had clearly been fuming over the decision to let Cisse take it rather than either of his penalty takers, Ba or Cisse.Pardew then lets on that he let them all know at the end of the match what he though of the penalty fiasco.

At half-time though the manager had put his own feelings to one side for the sake of the team and showed his man management skills at their best.

As Alan Pardew reveals in the interview;

“Important I didn’t kill them over the decision (Cisse penalty) because it still ended up hurting us throughout that second half, as we knew we should have been two up”.

Watch the full interview below and hear the manager’s thoughts on all aspects of Sunday’s match and looking forward to the coming matches.

If you sign up to BetVictor then thanks to our offer you will get up to a £25 free matched bet but even if you only like an occasional flutter on the football the big attraction with BetVictor is that if you win, then on most occasions you’ll get paid more than other bookies.

For example, at the time of writing you could get 6-1 on Newcastle winning at Old Trafford with BetVictor, compared to 9-2 with Ladbrokes.

If you fancy Newcastle to keep a third clean sheet in a row in a goalless draw and take the match into extra time, then 0-0 would pay 16-1 with BetVictor compared to 8-1 with Coral.

Having a bet on Newcastle is a bit of fun but it will be a lot more fun if you bet and win with BetVictor!
