Alan Pardew – Star Players To Feature v Manchester United
Central to that is the fact that two of his most important players, especially in the spine of the team; Cheick Tiote and Fabricio Coloccini, are both back in training.
Tiote of course came on as a late substitute against Norwich and as has happened in the past, when he hasn’t played for a while he has a tendency to do too much and risks getting caught in possession.
Happily he got away with hanging onto the ball a bit too much yesterday and Alan Pardew plan to have him involved at Old Trafford; “I think he will feature on Wednesday”, while on the Captain Colo front, Pardew said that there was a; “Good chance he’ll (Coloccini) get some minutes on Wednesday”.
It would appear that so long as they don’t have any reaction in training that both will play some part.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see both start and the manager spring the odd other surprise in terms of naming a stronger team than most would expect.
If you can’t make the Capital One Cup match at Old Trafford on Wednesday then you can catch it on SKY.
