Great news today as the Demba Ba situation appears to have calmed down and we can all get back to what we’re all really interested in, what happens on the pitch.

In advance of today’s match, Alan Pardew had confirmed Ba and Cisse will both start against Norwich and that their has been some kissing and making up behind the scenes with him saying that, “We’ve had somewhat of an apology”, in reference to the shenanigans around the Everton match.

With regard to his double Demba strikeforce the manager has said this;

“Make no mistake, he’ll (Demba Ba) start against Norwich. He and Papiss Cisse will start. We need them back to their best because they haven’t been at their best until that second half at Everton when I thought suddenly ‘here we go’.”

For those of you who come up with reasons why we should only play one of Ba or Cisse in any match, I think it’s a joke. Other teams can leave top strikers out because they have other options who will come in and do as good a job, we don’t.

They are two top players and should play whenever they are available in my opinion. One day we might be able to pick and choose when to play soem of our best players but that day is not today!
