Thanks to Shannon Baker (pictured) for getting in touch from Down Under –

Hey fellow Toons, writing to you today from Sydney, Australia. Well where do I start, what a great season we had last year.

The hype here in Sydney is amazing. You’d be surprised how many NUFC fans there actually are. Every Saturday night here in syd, we meet at our local pub at 12 midnight because the game is televised live at 2am. We have drinks until around 1:30 then head back to our unofficial headquarters to watch the match which is my apartment.

We cheer and party until the early hours of the morning, we are a very passionate bunch lol. There’s only 5 of us in our group but it is slowly building. There is also another place we go to which is called Cheers bar in the heart of Sydney where just about every fellow toon and football fan ventures to on late Saturday night to watch the matches.

We are also currently saving for a trip. Although we won’t be able to make it this season we’re hoping to be there by the following season when Newcastle take on Sunderland. You have no idea how excited we are. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this small article, hope to see you all soon.
