Sir Bobby Robson Legacy Continues To Grow
Family business Benfield has kindly provided Robbie and co triathlete Phil Gray with a Volkswagen Transporter Van to help support their transport needs and busy training schedule ahead of their 3,500 mile cycle challenge later this year.
The highly visible VW transporter van has been specially emblazoned with all the company names supporting the amazing cycle challenge and will also help to raise awareness of the charity bike ride at fund raising events around the region.
Benfield has also kindly agreed to provide further support for the cycle challenge when they will provide the two support Volkswagen Campervans for the teams stop off points along their gruelling 25 day journey covering four countries and visiting the eight clubs managed by Sir Bobby.
Robbie Elliott said “This is fantastic news that a company like Benfield have come on board to support us. The Volkswagen vans will be invaluable to us leading up to the event and during our gruelling challenge.
“The fact that Benfield have agreed to supply these vehicles is a massive help for us and will mean we can transport our cycles around the region on our training sessions and most importantly attend all our fund raising events.
“The striking Volkswagen Transporter Van will also help raise valuable awareness of ‘Bike for Bobby’ and carries all the details of how people can support our cycle challenge.”
The Money raised will be split between the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Nigel McMinn, managing director, Benfield Motor Group, who handed over the keys to the VW Transporter Van said “We are a family business with family values and are delighted to support Robbie and Phil and the fund raising team on this amazing challenge.
