Newcastle’s Latest Signing Due To Debut Tonight

Following confirmation yesterday that Australian centre-back, Curtis Good, had signed a six year contract, tonight you could get to see him make his debut.

A Newcastle United reserve eleven are taking on Gateshead at the International Stadium and as well as the young Aussie, Romain Amalfitano and Gael Bigirimana are also included in the youthful squad.

While James Tavernier, Rob Elliot and Medhi Abeid were added to the club’s original list of players to travel.

The full squad is; Alnwick, Elliot, Nicholson, Dummett, Tavernier, Good, Riley, Logan, Abeid, Newton, Richardson, Henderson, Miele, Inman, Amalfitano, Maddison, Knight and Hooper.

Kick-off over the water in Gateshead is at 7.30pm and admission is by paying at the turnstiles (remember that!) located at both ends of the Tyne and wear Stand.

Turnstiles open at 6.30pm with prices £10 for adults, £5 OAPs, £2 for U16s.

Hopefully the sun will shine and a chance to see some of our younger players pushing for a place in the first team.

If nothing else an opportunity to see some live football after an extra large diet of TV football this summer with both the Euros and Newcastle’s friendlies heavily featured on ESPN.
