Newcastle v Atromitos – Match Preview
European football returns to St.James’ Park with the second leg of our Europa League qualifier against Greek side, Atromitos.
Obviously not going to be a sell-out so get yourself along if you can make it, tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £5 concessions (£20 and £10 for bar areas).
As well as tickets available to buy at the box office, cash turnstiles will be available from 6.30pm and they are located in the Gallowgate West Corner (68, 69 and 70) and Leazes End (10, 11, 12, 29 and 30).
Interesting to see how Alan Pardew approaches this match in terms of how the strength of the team compares to that in the away leg.
Cheick Tiote is out injured anyway, so you’d assume that the manager will again go for Anita and Bigirimana, Yohan Cabaye saved for Sunday.
Of the younger players Haris Vuckic is expected to be available again so wouldn’t be surprised to see him playing just off one of our main strikers. If all being well we should hopefully get a good look at 17 year old Adam Campbell if United look in a comfortable position.
Would be nice to think there will be a half decent walk up crowd tonight especially with the kids off school, though with live coverage on ITV4 it won’t help.
Everybody looks forward to more attractive matches and potential exotic destinations further on in the competition, but it is the team’s job to put those thoughts to one side, and just get the job done tonight.
The following four matches have already been confirmed as televised live, with no doubt many more to follow.
