Following speculation in the UK of Newcastle pursuing the Vurnon Anita transfer, the player has now switched his management from Perfect Assist agency to become a client of Mino Raiola,  with his new representatives carrying a reputation in Holland of sorting deals out quickly.

Anita’s father told Voetbal International: “It is true that Vurnon has left Perfect Assist. We have teamed up with Mino Raiola”.

Last week Ajax offered Anita an enhanced contract and their sporting director, Marc Overmars said;

“Ajax do not want to lose Vurnon. Therefore we have offered him a new deal until 2015 or 2016. The coaches are very clear and see Vurnon as an important first team player. We don’t want to let go of him. He will become one of the top earners at Ajax with his new contract”.

With what has happened, or rather not, this Summer it would be a brave man to predict anything until you see Vurnon Anita in a chip shop near you.
