Ben Arfa A Possibility To Start His Pre-Season Tonight

Newcastle United tonight play the late addition to their pre-season friendly schedule, as they make the short trip to Hartlepool.

Both sets of fans will be hoping to see Hatem Ben Arfa in action with Alan Pardew saying it was a ‘possibility’ that the Frenchman would feature tonight.

No news on whether Yohan Cabaye could be involved but players expected to get a run out including those who didn’t feature in Holland include; Bigirimana, Williamson, Marveaux, Shola, Simpson and Gosling.

Kick-off at Victoria Park will be 7.30pm and will see Alan Pardew’s Magpies take on Pools, who ply their trade in League One.

This could prove a decent test for United as Pools have already drawn with Hull and ‘Boro, plus Geordie striker Steve Howard scored the only goal to beat the mackems.

Tickets for the fixture are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, and there are no student concessions.

Newcastle United supporters will be located in the Niramax Terrace and the Niramax Stand, which has a capacity of just under 3,500. Cash turnstiles will be in operation.

If required, Hartlepool can also open the Smith & Graham Stand behind the goal, which would open up an extra 1,000 seats to visiting supporters.
