Obviously not going to be a sell-out so get yourself along if you can make it, tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £5 concessions (£20 and £10 for bar areas).
As well as tickets available to buy at the box office, cash turnstiles will be available from 6.30pm and they are located in the Gallowgate West Corner (68, 69 and 70) and Leazes End (10, 11, 12, 29 and 30).
Bit of a strange occasion because while nobody likes to say it out loud, I do get the impression that most fans see this as something of a walkover. Alan Pardew may well want to see it put to bed as early as possible so good chance we might see a couple more first team regulars starting.
Would be nice to think there will be a half decent walk up crowd tonight especially with the kids off school, though with live coverage on ITV4 it won’t help.
Everybody looks forward to more attractive matches and potential exotic destinations further on in the competition, but it is the team’s job to put those thoughts to one side, and just get the job done tonight.
The following four matches have already been confirmed as televised live, with no doubt many more to follow.
