Newcastle’s Fans Hit By Yet Another Pre-Season Twist

Newcastle United’s pre-season has become an even bigger farce as the club have now announced that the match against Fenerbahce is actually taking place in Austria, as had been rumoured for the last couple of weeks, until NUFC announced it would be in Hungary….

‘The match against Fenerbahce on Saturday will now be played at the Sonnenseestadion, home of Austrian club SC Ritzing  and not, Sopron in Hungary. The game will kick-off at 7.30pm local time.’

The match at Den Haag (4th August) has also finally been given official confirmation, so the rest of Newcastle pre-season no looks like this….for the moment!

Newcastle United’s Confirmed Pre-Season Fixtures (all kick-off times are local)

Monday, 16th July – AS Monaco v Newcastle United, at Hacker-Pschoor-Arena, Landsberg am Lech, Germany (7pm kick-off)

Saturday, 21st July – Fenerbache v Newcastle United, at Sonnenseestadion, home of SC Ritzing (7.30pm kick-off)

Friday, 27th July – Newcastle United v Olympiacos (Guadiana Torneo), at Algarve Stadium, Portugal (8.45pm kick-off)

Saturday, 28th July – Newcastle United v SC Braga (Guadiana Torneo), at Algarve Stadium, Portugal (8.45pm kick-off)

Saturday 4th August – Den Haag v Newcastle United at Kyocera Stadium, Den Haag (5pm kick-off)

Saturday, 11th August – Cardiff City v Newcastle United, at Cardiff City Stadium (3pm kick-off)’
