Newcastle United’s friendly adventure continues tonight with yet another televised fixture on  ESPN for those not lucky enough to be sunning themselves on the Algarve.

We could also see first glimpses of Tim Krul and Yohan Cabaye back in action as they have returned to training following extra time off due to their European Championships involvement.

With two matches in two days we will no doubt be seeing a lot of mixing and matching both during the games and in terms of starting line-ups.

Having more of the big hitters involved though will give you more of a feel that the season is definitely getting closer.

Hatem Ben Arfa is also back from his extended holiday but won’t feature tonight as he to attend his disciplinary hearing earlier today, where happily he escaped with a caution – so should be in a happy mood when he links back up with the squad.
