Newcastle’s talented but small squad  were undoubtedly helped by United’s use of all the statistical information now available to football clubs.

When I was invited to spend the day at Newcastle’s training ground last season, when speaking to the likes of Alan Pardew and his assistant John Carver it was clear that they put great store in the statistical information they gather about their own players, as well as on the opposition when preparing for matches.

Great news then that NUFC are building on their relationship with the people who help them to gather that information.

Prozone have just announced the signing of a new deal;

 Newcastle United signs new deal with Prozone and Amisco

Prozone and Amisco are pleased to announce that Newcastle United Football Club has signed a new extension to its contract that will see it continue to draw upon the analytical expertise of the group over the coming seasons.

One of the outstanding performers in the Premier League during 2011/12, Newcastle United will embark on a European campaign next season with coaching insights and support provided by Prozone and Amisco’s market-leading range of performance analysis products.

 Lee Fraser, Newcastle United’s Technical Scout Coordinator, said, “At Newcastle we are committed to using objective analysis as part of the club’s continual development. Our relationship with Prozone and Amisco enables us to gain valuable insights into the performances of our players and their service has become an integral part of the coaching process.”

 David Parker, Account Manager at Prozone, said, “We are excited to continue our relationship with Newcastle, a forward-thinking club that has fully embraced the use of performance analysis and made it a key part of its long-term strategy, specifically in the recruitment of their players.”

 With analytics an increasingly significant asset at the elite level, Prozone and Amisco continue to focus on advancing performance analysis and developing the next generation of coaching tools. Working closely with many of the leading names in sport, the business is committed to making positive interventions in the coaching process and maximising the chances of success for its clients.
