Newcastle United On TV

I hope there aren’t many of you who have booked travel plans based on any of Newcastle United’s fixtures which were announced recently.

The first list of changes for SKY/ESPN are due to be announced around 13th July  and will cover the period up to the end of November, which equates to our first fourteen Premier League matches.

When you add into the equation hopefully our participation in the Europa League, then as well as TV scheduled matches we will also be having numerous Sunday matches thanks to European matches on Thursday nights.

Channel Five no longer have the rights for the Europa League with ITV and ESPN sharing, no doubt the companies not too upset that they’ll have the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle to cover.

This season could make for an all time record in terms of matches changed from their original dates and that is before we get to next season when the new deal kicks in and even more matches are covered thanks to the new SKY/BT deal.
