Krul On The Brink?

Tim Krul could be the one to benefit after a shocker last night from first choice Dutch keeper, Stekelenburg.

The defeat by Germany was down largely to Stekelenburg’s goalkeeping, arguably he should have done better with the German opener and as for Gomez’s second, the Dutch keeper just about threw himself out of the way of it.

Krul looks to be just ahead of Swansea’s Vorm in the pecking order and hopefully will taste Euro action on Sunday.

The Netherlands face Portugal in a must win match and rely on Germany to defeat Denmark, the Dutch will also need to have a better goal difference than the Danes and Portuguese.

Meanwhile ex-Newcastle legend, Shay Given, will go into action tonight against Spain when the Irish will probably need to get something to stand any chance of qualifying.
