The 1994/95 season was fading to a disappointing close, Andy Cole had been sold mid-season and Newcastle missed out on a return trip to Europe.
Optimism wasn’t high and fans were left wondering if maybe the Keegan revolution was stalling after such a promising few years.
We might know now what was around the corner but when you are relying on Paul Kitson for goals it is hard to see light at the end of the tunnel.
At least Darren Peacock cheered us up when we discovered who he was separated at birth from!
