Jonas Up For The Fight
Jonas Gutierrez has said that the team can’t afford another slip-up in the final two games of the Premier League season.
The Magpies find themselves level on points with Spurs in fourth place and just one point behind third place Arsenal in the race for Champions League football.
Speaking after the side’s 2-0 win against Chelsea, the Argentinian said:
“I think it was one of the best results of the season because we had three games to go and it was against a team we are fighting with in the table.
It was magnificent and the team played very well. Now we have two games to go and we are in a good position”.
Newcastle welcome Manchester City to St. James’ Park on Sunday after the Eastlands side took top spot in the Premier League after beating title rivals Manchester United on Monday.
“The squad and the staff are working hard to do our best for those games. We have to keep focused because we have two big games.
Manchester City have to win if they want to be the champions, so it will be a massive game”.
