Tim Krul Gets England Vote

This week the nominations for PFA Player, and Young Player, of the year were released.

Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Joe Hart, and Scott Parker are the ones up for the main award while Sergio Aguero,  Danny Welbeck, Kyle Walker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Sturridge, and Gareth Bale are up for the Young Player which is for players who are under 23.

After some confusion in information supplied by the PFA as to whether Tim Krul could have been nominated, it has been made clear he was eligible as he turned 24 earlier this month and you needed to be 23 or under at the start of the season.

This led to one of the nominations for the main award, England Keeper Joe Hart, to express his amazement that the Newcastle United star was nowhere to be seen.

“Young player, I voted for Tim Krul, I think he has been fantastic this year. Keeper wise he has definitely been one of the best in the league. I couldn’t believe it when I checked the young players and he wasn’t in that nomination”.

That was Hart’s reaction when speaking on Sky Sports and while I actually do really rate Oxlade-Chamberlain on the little I’ve seen, the fact remains he has made only 14 appearances this season, scoring two goals.

Compared to the job Tim Krul has done up here it doesn’t come close, must be vote rigging down that London by the ‘cockney mafia’….
