National Service
With our enforced 12 day break, though obviously keeping one eye on the scouse cup semi-final, we thought we’d bring you our own guide to what is happening back in the Liverpool homeland this weekend.
The Grand National is the most famous horse race in the World and is run over 4 miles and 4 furlongs.
Leazes End regular, Neil Beveridge, has recently set up his own online guide to horseracing so we invited him to help out the rest of us who will be most likely sticking a pin in this morning’s morning paper.
National 10 Year Trends
Distance – 10/10 winners had won a chase over 3 miles or further
Weight – 10/10 carried 11 stones 5 lbs or less.
Last Run – 10/10 had run within the last 2 months
Age – 8/10 were either 9 or 10 years old
The Mag Online’s betting football betting partners BETFAIR were also best odds on all 40 runners in last year’s Grand National, click here for the very best odds for your flutter this time around.
Shortlist
No horse meets all of the trends but here is a shortlist of the runners who meet most of the key trends.
Killyglen, Chicago Grey, Cappa Bleu, West End Rocker
An interesting longer priced entry is Planet of Sound, who meets quite a few of the key trends and could run well for those who like to back a big price runner.
