Alan Pardew Puts The Wind Up Harry Redknapp

A pretty much perfect set of results for Newcastle United on Saturday has blown away any chance now of pretending Newcastle aren’t contenders for Champions League qualification.

You know you are doing something right when ‘arry was moved to say this in his post-match press conference about the job Alan Pardew is doing:

“I wouldn’t think there is any pressure on them (Newcastle), they have achieved a miracle. What Alan has done there has been fantastic to get them in the position they are in. It has been a great achievement so they can relax and play.

You have to give them credit for what they have done. And they do look good at the moment. They have some fantastic forwards.

I am very confident,  although we might have to win all four. I can’t see Chelsea losing many, they look very strong and Newcastle are going great. But Chelsea have got to play Newcastle.

Then Newcastle have got to play Manchester City so it is all to play for. We are still a point ahead of Chelsea. If we win all our games it doesn’t matter what they do”.

Even though ‘arry previously claimed he could have bought pretty much all of our star players for next to nowt if he’d wanted to, fair play to him for giving praise where due.

It just shows what a mad sport football is, in the last six matches Newcastle have gained twelve points on Tottenham, ‘knees up mother brown’ indeed.
