Alan Pardew looked confident in the lead up to Saturday’s clash with Stoke and in his post-match interview he was absolutely oozing confidence.

Having had to endure some tough times in terms of available manpower, the manager is obviously revelling in the number of potential match winners he can put on the pitch, both up front and at the back.

In his interview he pays tribute to the likes of Williamson at the back and of course to our forward trio who have been outstanding.

Pardew comments about Newcastle having the, “…normal workrate but we had real quality today”.

Alan has a twinkle in his eye as he talks about Hatem Ben Arfa giving Newcastle, “those special moments”.

Of course he keeps his most glowing report for Yohan Cabye who was outstanding and Pardew rates the pass for Cisse’s goal as, “….better than his two goals”.

The manager also reassures any doubts about the knock Cabaye took on his ankle, with the manager expressing his delight that he was in a position to take off both Cabaye and Cisse early doors to protect them for the next match at Wigan.

Nice position for us all to be in!
