The Final Straw For NUFC’s Nile Ranger

Surely the time has come (once again!) for Newcastle United to wash their hands of Nile Ranger.

Yet again he has been arrested, this time for breaking his bail conditions, is he the thickest player we have ever had?

This is how the Northern Echo reported it today:

NEWCASTLE United footballer Nile Ranger appeared in court today and admitted breaching bail conditions which banned him from a city centre.

Striker, Ranger, was arrested by police last night outside a Tyneside casino.

The 20-year-old is currently on bail awaiting trial at Newcastle Crown Court in June on assault charges and his conditions ban him from entering the city’s parking meter zone.

Ranger appeared at Newcastle Magistrates Court this morning, where he admitted the breach and was again granted bail with the same conditions.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “At 11.17pm on Monday, a 20-year-old man was arrested in Newcastle city centre for breach of bail.

The north London-born footballer, who was on loan with Barnsley earlier this season, will go on trial before the same magistrates tomorrow on a drunk and disorderly charge.
