Newcastle United’s Cheick Tiote: ‘Dying’ To Get At sunderland
As the hours count down to the derby clash, Cheick Tiote has been calming things down, not!
In typical fashion he’s summed up exactly what the match against sunderland means to everybody but then he seems to approach every match in his all action style, if he is ever below par it isn’t for the want of trying.
One thing he talks about and I believe is true in every match but particularly ones like the mackems, is the need to win the match in the middle of the pitch.
If we get performances from Tiote and Cabaye like we did against Manchester United then I think that we’ll be well on our way to celebration time this afternoon/tonight/tomorrow morning…
This is how Cheick Tiote put it:
We have to die on the pitch. That’s what we have to do to win the game.
If you get a yellow card, you get one. It can’t stop me from playing the game in my style but I have to work well for the team.
The most important part of any team is in the middle of the pitch. If we do everything in that area, we can win the game.
I’m back and ready, everybody knows this game is so important for the fans, the manager – everyone!
I think we have to stay focused. We have to think about tomorrow and nothing else.
Newcastle v Sunderland is the biggest game for this football club. It doesn’t get any bigger”.
As for dying on the pitch we all know what he meant, dramatic language for what is always a a dramatic emotion filled occasion, let’s drink to sunderland’s hopes of any kind of a shock result dying on the pitch.
