Newcastle And sunderland Accept FA Charge
Both Newcastle United and sunderland have accepted the FA charge of failing to control their players during the derby match.
The charge centred around argy bargy following a James McClean foul on Danny Simpson with the usual pushing and shoving as the two groups of players came together.
The two clubs have asked for a personal hearing to put their case as well as having accepted the charge.
To be honest there didn’t seem to be that much in it that you don’t see every other week, no doubt they’ll get a warning to future conduct and possibly/probably a small (in terms of Premier League finances) fine each.
A bit of a pointless exercise if you ask me but no doubt they need to justify to sponsors etc that they are doing their bit to safeguard the (their?) image of the game.
