Perch & Guthrie – Vital v Spurs

Today’s match at White Hart Lane sees vital roles for James Perch and Danny Guthrie in the engine room.

Maybe the story of our season is going to revolve around how our lesser lights have done when called upon to fill in for the missing top notchers.

In football you can often be only as good as your (perceived) weakest links.

Earlier in the season Ryan Taylor showed great character to fill in so well at left-back despite the odd roasting from the likes of Wright-Phillips and Sturridge, plus some cracking goals…’Over The Wall’ anyone?!!!

Danny Guthrie put a canny little run together before picking up an injury but put in a decent shift in last week’s win over Villa.

Likewise James Perch has battled through adversity to put in battling displays in the second half at Ewood Park and again against Villa last Sunday.

Today against Spurs we need big performances from both if we’re to compete, let’s have a massive dose of team spirit!

With Ba and Cissé both playing we have every chance.
