NUFC’s Tiote Back For Spurs?

Tonight sees Cheick Tiote continue his quest for the African Cup Of Nations as along with his Ivory Coast team mates he lines up against co-hosts Equatorial Guinea at 7pm UK time.

If the hosts were to knock the Ivory Coasters out then you would assume our combative midfield man would have every chance of lining up at White Hart Lane in seven days time.

For that to happen we are looking (hoping..) for one mighty upset as already Equatorial Guinea have played way beyond expectations.

If Cheick’s team progress then they would play the winners of Mali v Gabon (3rd favourites for the tournament) on Wednesday 8 February, with a possible final appearance on Sunday 12 February.

Dodgy pitches and a no-show by the much fancied Senegal have helped on their way but against tournament favourites Ivory Coast (currently priced at 6-5 compared to Guinea’s 40-1!) the co-hosts are going to have to pull a real rabbit out of the hat.
