This week we take you back in time to various mackem memories thanks to The Mag’s YouTube channel.

Yesterday we brought you a ‘from the terraces’ classic footage from the famous Halloween 5-1 demolition against the enemy.

As the build up continues to Sunday we bring you an ‘over the wall special’, no not Liam O’Brien or Ryan Taylor, this was 24th April 1993 and Scott Sellars all but making sure of promotion with this stupendous free-kick against sunderland. Do not adjust your sets (or whatever the internet equivalent is of TVs), the picture quality isn’t great but this is officially the wettest I’ve been at a football match ever!

The referee later said he would have called the match off if it had been anything other than such a high profile derby match and potential for trouble, just as well he didn’t or it would have deprived us of this piece of ‘Salty’ magic.
