Newcastle United – Vuckic On The Move
Newcastle United have moved to give valuable experience to one of their most promising younger players.
Newcastle United teenager Haris Vuckic is set to join Cardiff City on an initial one-month loan and with a run of matches we will get a better idea of whether he is capable of getting a bit closer to being an integral member of the first team squad.
The 19-year-old midfielder has made five appearances for the Magpies this season, and manager Alan Pardew has allowed him to join the high-flying Championship outfit to continue his development.
Vuckic is expected to put pen to paper on his temporary deal on Friday, and in doing so will be eligible to make his Bluebirds’ debut away at Leicester City this weekend.
The Slovenian Under 21 international arrived on Tyneside in January 2009 and represented Newcastle’s Under 18s and Reserve team before being handed his first team debut in August of that year against Huddersfield in the League Cup.
An impressive pre-season campaign last summer led to Vuckic being a regular figure in United’s squad this term, and his Premier League debut came at the end of August against Fulham.
Vuckic went on to be named in the starting line-up against West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool in December, and will be hoping to play a part in Cardiff’s push for Premier League football.
