Alan Pardew’s Call To Arms For NUFC Fans
A crucial time in the season and I know you could say that every one of the thirteen remaining matches is crucial (or even 13 ‘Cup Finals’ as Alan Pardew has previously referred to them) but the match with Wolves is…really crucial!
A home match against a managerless struggling team should be a guaranteed three points but things don’t always work out like that, indeed in recent away matches the visitors have picked up draws at both Spurs and Arsenal.
A home match at 3pm on a Saturday, hopefully a full house, all our big players available again apart from long-term injury Steven Taylor – the last thing we want to happen is a flat atmosphere to let the day down.
Here is Alan Pardew’s ‘call to arms’:
“They’ve been brilliant for us this year. We have got great home form at the moment and we want to continue that.
One of the reasons we have done so well is because of the fans. I really hope they are in good voice because we’re not feeling too confident after Spurs.
We might talk the talk, but I’m telling you when that game kicks off we could be a bit nervous.
We need the fans to really help us with this one.
I went over to the fans at Tottenham to make a point. They were brilliant, they are the best fans in the world.
Hopefully we can repay our home fans and especially those who travelled when we have not been too good.
We want to give them some payback.
It has been known for a while about the name change. I can see why the fans are upset.
Once the game kicks off though it is all about the product on the pitch”.
