Let’s hope we haven’t missed the boat in terms of catching Manchester United at a vulnerable time.

Fair play to Blackburn because winning at Old Trafford at any time is an achievement (as we well know) but looking at the eighteen players Fergie selected it undoubtedly helped the visitors.

The likes of Vidic, Ferdinand and Evans out with injury, as well as Fabio and Smalling missing.

Rumours also spread that Ferguson left Rooney and Darren Gibson out because of disciplinary issues regarding a night out after they’d beaten Wigan on Boxing Day, the Red-Nosed one claiming injury niggles…

Anyway, whoever lines up for them on Wednesday at St.James’ Park will prove a hard test but when you add their dodgy keeper into the mix of injuries and disciplinary problems it does provide an extra glimmer of hope.

When you have a striker at the top of his game like Ba is then I really fancy his chances against a makeshift defence, can he and Tiote head off to Africa leaving behind a very nice late late Christmas present?

We have to go at the Mancs, whether likes of Rooney etc. are playing or not. Ba and Tiote it is their last league match before African nations and ManU defence is def weakened.
Let’s get at them and give Ba the chances he’ll make count.

From what I’ve seen of Man U’s keeper we can have some joy there and a bit like at Liverpool I think it is down to our lot rather than the opposition.
I think at Anfield we handed them the initiative but no excuses doing it at St.James’ Park against a team lacking players.

The problem is that Rooney will want to prove something and we know what happens when he gets annoyed at St James park?

man U team was good enough to trounce Blackburn but show no desire. it just shows that if the team is not united and only have part players whether skillfull or not the whole can win. come on Newcastle we can do it and Fergie can then say this is disastrous x1000

How about getting a belated Xmas present from Ba and Tiote before they re off !?

What are the odds that Rooney will be a naughty boy again and not allowed to play?

I don’t like all this sitting off the other team and letting them have the ball like we did against Liverpool and others. We look much better getting at other teams like that tremendous team performance against Stoke. I know ManU are better than them but they have players like Giggs, Carrick, Berbatov, Rooney who aren’t particularly quick so why not get at them?

Very funny when Fergie gets caught out, dropping likes of Rooney for discipline problems and telling lies to cover it up. Please please let us beat them, seems like forever since we did.
