No matter how little truth there is in it, the rumour of Andy Carroll coming back to Newcastle on loan is sure to divide opinion.

I’d be amazed if there was any substance at all but I suppose the logic is…..big money signing struggling for games and goals at Liverpool, scousers rumoured to be after Darren Bent, old club Newcastle desperate for a striker, especially while their only decent one is away in Africa for up to two months.

Imagining Mike Ashley covering the ponytailed one’s eight/ninety grand a week would take some imagination but just say….as a fan would you have him back?

For many supporters it would be an emotive ‘NO’ but when we are told no striker will be bought in the transfer window and you look at our other striking options, if you aren’t worried then you should be.

So in the unlikely event of it happening, I’d have Carroll back without a doubt but what is your shout?

We certainly aren’t playing better football at the minute though are we?

We were at the start of the season but the last 9 or 10 games have been awful to watch

Would not be suprised, ashley does not care what you/me/we want he would see it as having his cake and eating it.

For £3.5M & £50K a week – he’d be a bargain, untill a bigger club (5under1and hahaha) turned his head with promises of glory.

We are where we are and even if Ba wasn’t away for nearly 2 months we would still need a striker but with the goal king away it is a no-brainer we have to get somebody in.
The Geordie Charva would do me, even if just for couple of months, he’s a handful up front and would score goals if you played to his strengths. God knows what strengths Best and Shola will bring and how you play to them!
