Match Preview – Newcastle Utd v West Brom

Wednesday 21 December 2011 7.45pm

Five games without a win but another great opportunity to get back on track.

Roy Hodgson has his team in a typically organised and solid style but surely our look has to turn.

In the first half on Saturday the team did everything but score and including Chelsea I make that five times Newcastle have hit the woodwork over the last two home matches.

Whether United deserve more points is one thing but what is certain is that luck has definitely deserted in front of goal.

West Brom have only scored 16 times this season and if the Toon score first then we are confident there will be only one winner.

Cabaye will be a big miss but so long as the manager doesn’t go down the Alan Smith route we should be ok, Vuckic seemingly first in line to get his big chance.

However, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Alan Pardew go down the route of keeping two strikers up top plus finding a way to accommodate Hatem Ben Arfa as well.

The visitors actually have accumulated more points on their travels, eleven compared to seven at home.

Remember only Chelsea have taken three points away from St.James’ Park and they needed twelve men to do it.

Our luck is about to change with an early goal and team confidence bolstered by a two or three goal win.

In conjunction with our betting partner BET365 we are going for Newcastle to win in ninety minutes enable you to double your money at evens, while we also like the look of 6-1 for there to be 3 or more goals in the first half.

Finally, Jonas seems to be a lot more willing to have a go and so we are going for a speculative 60-1 chance with Gutierrez to score any time in the match in a 3-0 win for United.
