Has The Bubble Burst?

Well we are about to find out.

We’ve certainly been on a roll this season and to be honest there’s no shame in only picking up one point from Man City and Man U away, followed by Chelsea at home.

If it wasn’t for the injuries I wouldn’t be unduly concerned about what lies ahead fixtures wise. However, the next few weeks, without Coloccini and Taylor who have been outstanding all season, plus midfield enforcer Tiote….will we ever see him again in a black n’ white shirt or am I just being a pessimist?…..will certainly be a test.

There’s no doubt our squad has been thin in certain positions and unfortunately we’ve picked up injuries in those areas. Luckily…or maybe not, depending upon whether or not the owner is prepared to put his money in his pocket, the injuries have happened within a month of the transfer window opening .

We are about to find out Mr Ashley’s real intentions. He’s received praise over recent months for his financial management of the club and we’ve heard utterings that he is ‘here to stay’ but the transfer window will show whether or not that is the case.

There’s never a better time to strengthen than when you are doing well, in general terms players want to sign for successful clubs and January will give us a better feel for where our future really lies.

Challenging to be the ‘best of the rest’ or scrapping it out to avoid relegation with everyone else, retaining Premier League status now being a prize on its own!

If you’re a betting man where does your money go?
