Our captain let it be known, “It is tight but I am hoping to play in the next game (Norwich)”.
Obviously we’d approach this cautiously as past experience tells us that injured players reportedly coming back to fitness/availability doesn’t always become the reality. At the moment we have Cheick Tiote with his ongoing injury and reports each week claiming he could return, only for the medical staff to insist he give it more time.
As it stands we could have the possibility of both Tiote and Coloccini available for the trip to Carrow Road, which would obviously be a huge pick me up after Saturday’s crushing combination of injuries and defeat.
As realists we would settle for having either of the two players starting against Norwich, we’ll need their brand of leadership as it is promises to be a tough match.
