Making Our Point(s)

I find it hard to go along with the accepted wisdom that Newcastle will struggle to get anything out of the next three matches. Yes they are our current Champions League competitors (cough cough!!) but why should we  give them over the top respect.

This season has seen some crazy results with Manchester United sticking eight past Arsenal yet conceding six against City, all three have been conceding goals with Chelsea leaking fifteen and the Manchester teams conceding twenty two between them, twelve for the reds and ten for the sky blues.

It is not arrogance to think our team should approach these matches expecting to get positive results, as I was once told by somebody – if you don’t believe in yourself then nobody else will.

Chelsea have looked erratic at times, while Man.U. had to rely on a mackem own goal in their last match, Man. City might be the toughest nut to crack but they’ve conceded goals in seven of their eleven league matches including two each in games against Bolton, Fulham and QPR.

When you throw in the fact that NUFC have conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League I reckon a draw is more than a possibility, the key is to go there with expectation as in  many of these games teams are beaten before they even get on the pitch.

Four points from the next three matches is our prediction, what do you think?
