Goals, But Keeps Feet on The Ground

Demba Ba has literally been a revelation at Newcastle United in the very short time he has been at St.James’ Park. Coming on a free transfer (due to a contract clause) from relegated West Ham wasn’t exactly the profile of player many fans were no doubt hoping for.

What a start though, two hat-tricks already in only a handful of matches!

Demba Ba -“When I signed here and saw the quality of the players we have, I’m not really surprised by how we’re playing. We’re just happy being there, enjoying being there and just want to do everything to stay”.

“I think it’s going to be difficult (to qualify for the Champions League) as we don’t have the squad they (other sides) have and don’t have the experience they have. We have to try and win as many games as possible and see where we finish at the end”.

What our top scorer sums up is a real keeping the feet on the ground attitude which is undoubtedly helped by Alan Pardew’s approach to being Newcastle manager.

If we can keep players like Demba Ba on the pitch, on top of their ‘feet on the ground’ attitude, we’ll not go to far wrong this season.
