Forget The Entertainment

Captain Colo has displayed his usual weaknesses in the tackle, in the  air and slack marking.

One of Sir Alex Ferguson’s rejects, Gabriel Obertan, has, so far, revealed why he was dumped on us. He has pace and tricks but needs midfield support. Tiote the Terminator should be given a yellow card season ticket to save referees the bother. He is a ball winner and destroyer but his creative talent is limited to finding new ways to foul. Cabaye may eventually provide some inspiration but is struggling with the pace and punch of the Premiership. And he is not on his own.

None of his team-mates have much flair however industrious they are. Industry without flair is not a recipe for success and it is pretty dull to watch. Clean sheets are valuable for a team with serious limitations but you can forget the entertainment.
