Newcastle Name Tim Krul Asking Price – Reports From Italian Media

The Italian media are reporting that Newcastle United have quoted AC Milan an asking price of £10m if they want to buy Tim Krul this summer.

The Dutch keeper has been regularly linked with Italian clubs but this summer could be a big one for the Newcastle united number one, in all kinds of ways.

Hopefully back from injury for Stoke tomorrow, Krul has enjoyed mixed fortunes this season, though matches like the one at White Hart Lane show what he is capable of.

However, he has fallen out of favour in his national team, not even making the squad for the Netherlands’ last friendly against Yohan Cabaye’s France in Paris last month.

Krul is a quality goalkeeper but has lost his way in recent times, whether it is just personal form or being dragged down by the whole chaotic Newcastle United, is anybody’s guess.

Having already lost Yohan Cabaye, Newcastle also seem certain to not have Loic Remy next year, while Fabricio Coloccini looks increasingly likely to head home to Argentina.

This makes it more important than ever, that the likes of Tim Krul and Cheick Tiote remain as part of the spine of the team that has created the better moments this season, and of course pushed United to fifth in 2011/12.
