‘Geordie’ Does The Business At The Emirates

This is a season that just keeps giving and giving, Wigan looked nailed on certainties for relegation and then beat Manchester United and Arsenal with Geordie (Jordi!) Gomez winning tonight’s match.

From Newcastle’s point of view it means that now Arsenal’s match against Chelsea before ours on Saturday cannot really have a bad result. If Arsenal win then we could go five points clear of the blues with four matches to play, Chelsea win and we beat Stoke…only two points behind third with a game in hand!

If it’s a draw – perfect, a point disappears.

Geordies Here, Jordis there...

As ever it is all about what Newcastle do and Wigan beating Arsenal would be an irrelevance to us without this recent cracking five match winning streak.

It was lovely watching a match like this being relevant to us at this stage of the season and what a bonus having the bad loser streak at The Emirates for all to see.

Wigan outplayed and outclassed them tonight and yet hardly one bit of even grudging respect from the home side, manager or fans at the end.

Summed up by Van Persie who might be a brilliant player but who is an absolute disgrace as a person and I would be ashamed to have him as our captain.

If you were watching tonight just how funny was it at the end as Ex-Magpie Gary Caldwell kept pushing for Van Persie to shake hands at the end, they certainly don’t like it up them.

By the way, the ‘attendance’ was put at over sixty thousand as per usual….exactly how many empty seats does there need to be (yes yes I know they might all be paid for even if nobody in them….) before the ATTENDANCE is admitted to be under 60,000?

Wigan are playing some good footbal atm, was a good match to watch, RVP was at it from the start, he really is a poor loser & I am starting to really dislike the arrogant little prick, even though he is a cracking player that does not justify his attitude towards fellow players.

we will do well to get a result off wigan, it is doable, just don’t underestimate them.
