There are media claims that Newcastle United are set to sign Ajax’s Dutch defensive midfielder, Vurnon Anita.
The 23 year old can also play left-back and has already played 137 times for Ajax as well as a handful of appearances for Holland.
Anita was in the provisional Dutch squad forthe Euros but didn’t make the final cut, no disgrace when you look at the players they have to pick from.
If this transfer becomes reality then most will be putting two and two together and getting a defensive midfielder, who was also signed from the Dutch league, packing his suitcases and leaving St.James’ Park.
