We should be looking at the top level clubs as our rivals; Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and of course bloody Liverpool – hopefully that is the mentality Ashley and Pardew are bringing to the club, it is certainly what the national press are scared about.

Alan Pardew has gone out of his way to say Cissé has been his choice, the man he has wanted since Carroll left, he has never said the same about Demba Ba. Ba, who has been superb but sadly his time here is surely going to be temporary.

Considering they are a Public funded organization the BBC really are a disgrace.
Yesterday in the news there was a comment about the opportunities wasted for both Chelsea and Livcerpool to close up on the leading teams with no mention for the Toon (despite being above Liverpool in the table).

Ray Wilkins on Sky apparently said that Cabaye was feigning injury and expected him to return to the pitch despite being carried off.
I have always argued against stopping the game for TV replays but it is about time the authorities rooted out just one of the evils of the game.
