Steven Taylor Waiting To See If Newcastle Agree A Fee

After a nightmare season where he made only nine Premier League starts, the agent representing Steven Taylor has announced that suggestions of QPR interest is flattering and that they are waiting to see if a fee is arranged with Rangers, or indeed any other club.

Taylor began the season in the first team before a daft sending off led to him being viewed as fourth choice for most of the campaign behind Coloccini, Williamson and Mapou.

Following speculation about alleged interest from clubs such as Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers, Taylor’s agent Jonathan Hope has had this to say;

“I have seen the press speculation with regards to Steven Taylor and it’s flattered, but at this stage I have not had any contact with QPR or Newcastle.

“Steven has 2 years left on his current deal and is happy playing for the club he’s been associated to for nineteen years.

“Should Newcastle tell us they’ve agreed a fee with any  club, then the situation will change.

“The clubs that have expressed an interest in Taylor are all very interesting and if there’s serious interest then I will sit down with Steven and discuss his options.”
