Siem De Jong States He’s On Crutches For Next 6 Weeks
Siem De Jong has been told he will spend the next six weeks on crutches before starting his recovery back to first team action at Newcastle United.
The Dutch daily newspaper Algemeen Dagblad , report that the Dutch international had a successful operation on his thigh, following a tear in the tendon whilst training with Newcastle.
The procedure was carried out in London on the twenty five year old ex-Ajax midfielder.
De Jong saying afterwards;
“Now I must spend six weeks on crutches.”
Speculation previously had suggested the midfielder could be out at least until the new year and if the player will still be on crutches until at least the start of November, then a January return is maybe looking the best case scenario.
