Saddos Chase Steven Taylor
Only days after Steven Taylor’s agent insisted the player wasn’t interested in a number of clubs claimed to be chasing his signature, another slightly more off the wall destination has emerged than the rumoured QPR and Crystal Palace interest.
Sky Sports are reporting that their sauces/sources have told them that Qatar club Al-Sadd want to take on the United defender.
The big spending Qatar club currently have players such as Real Madrid legend Raul on their books and are said to be prepared to offer Taylor a lucrative contract to tempt him into a life in the sun.
Having started only nine Premier League matches last season and at best, third in line behind Coloccini and Williamson, where Taylor really does see his future is anybody’s guess.
With two years left on his contract and turning twenty nine during the coming season, it is a pivotal time in the defender’s career and surely being happy sitting on the bench won’t be an option for him moving forward.
Whether the potential saving on sunbeds will play a part in Taylor’s decision is not yet known…
