Rolando Aarons admits to strange condition

When asked about his vital opening goal against Manchester City, Rolando Aarons admitted that he’d have to see a TV replay before he could comment on it.

The Newcastle winger claiming that when he scores goals he doesn’t actually remember them afterwards.

It all sounds a bit like Arsene Wenger never seeing anything (that he doesn’t want to) from his place in the dugout, though Aarons’ ‘problem’ is of course a more innocent one (Makes a nice change from our midfielders not being able to remember goals because they don’t score them…).

There’s nothing better than having a winger who can take defenders on and make things happen, I really hope that Aarons makes it.

Also, lets hope Alan Pardew doesn’t take any more risks on the player’s future by playing him in the future against expert advice, as was the case on Wednesday.

Speaking to NUFC TV – ‘I don’t remember’;

“When I score goals I don’t actually remember them, so I’ll be able to tell you only after I have seen a  replay, I’m just happy to score and contribute.

“It is an unreal feeling, I’m just happy with the graft the boys put in and that we got the win, so pleased to go through to the next round.”

Thrown in;

“I was knackered today and I was a bit slow and off the pace – but obviously happy to get the goal and contribute..

“I was a little bit ahead of schedule but the gaffer has kind of thrown me in and I’ve just done what I always wanted – play football.

(Asked if always the plan to come off at half-time?)

“No, I was just knackered.

“I was tired and I think the gaffer noticed, and i kind of told him, so he took me off.
