Newcastle United v Sydney FC – Three New Signings In Strong Starting 11
Alan Pardew had said he’d name a strong team in honour of John Alder and Liam Sweeney, and he has included three new signings in his starting eleven for Newcastle United v Sydney FC.
The Newcastle manager starts with Emmanuel Riviere, making his first ever appearance in Newcastle colours, while Siem De Jong and Jack Colback follow up their debuts at Oldham.
Also in the starting eleven are the likes of Colocconi, Gouffran and Anita, with pretty much all available senior players named in the starting eleven.
It looks like poor Mapou is as usual going to be playing out of position at right-back.
The starting 11 is;
Elliot, Mapou, Steven Taylor, Coloccini, Haidara, Aaarons, Anita, Colback, De Jong, Gouffran, Riviere
While on the bench Newcastle have;
Alnwick, Woodman, Abeid, Sammy Ameobi, Dummett, Perez, Satka, Vuckic, Armstrong
Newcastle United v Sydney FC is 8.30am UK time and you can watch it on BT Sport 1, the second match of the tour down under against Wellington Phoenix (26 July 4.30am UK kick-off time) will also be broadcast live.
