Moussa Sissoko Will Leave Next If No Investment According To Ex-United Star

Newcastle have been warned that the player exodus from St.James’ Park will continue this summer, unless Mike Ashley sanctions some credible new signings.

With Mathieu Debuchy expected to follow Yohan Cabaye out of the door very shortly, and no permanent deal agreed with Loic Remy, Newcastle fans fear what will happen if bids come in for Krul, Tiote and Sissoko.

Former Newcastle left-back Olivier Bernard has told the Chronicle that while Mathieu Debuchy is a definite departure, he believes the likes of Moussa Sissoko will be happy to stay, if given some encouragement by Ashley and Pardew.

“It is not about him (Debuchy). It is the alarm bells his departure sets off amongst the likes of Moussa Sissoko – I don’t think he desperately wants to leave.

However, if he sees more teammates sold off and gets a good offer elsewhere, then I can see him going.

“All Newcastle can do is hope to hang onto their other star names, such as Tim Krul, Cheick Tiote and Fabricio Coloccini, and try and bring in a couple more.”

The current position means that the pool of quality players has rapidly diminished at St.James’ Park, with as yet no direct replacements brought in for those such as Ba and Cabaye, who left eighteen and six months ago respectively.
